Alonso Vidal has over 25 years of total experience as a consultant, project manager, project engineer, construction engineer, scheduler, and field engineer for large heavy civil construction including: airports, urban freeways, subway/mining tunnels, water supply, mining process facilities and environmental projects. a) Airport airside improvements design and construction oversight including runway widening and overlays, and passenger and freight apron repair and reconstruction. Preparation of Airport five year plans for FAA submission and tracking of plan progress. Environmental Assessments for new airport facilities. Airport drainage studies and improvements.
2) Mechanical:
a) Sizing and selection of artificial lift equipment (i.e., pumps, valves, and flowmeters) for 8” to 64” pressure pipelines. Preparation of numerical simulation models for complex hydraulic systems of multi-pump branching networks. Design of pump stations (fire, water supply, and dewatering) including up to 500 HP drives, 14” centrifugal pumps, 0.5 million gallon steel tanks, and 32 acre feet lined reservoirs.
3) Water-Hydrology:
a) Flood delineation and detailed runoff studies for flood control and water supply studies. Numerical simulation models of reservoirs/dams to determine long term water supply capacity. Design and construction oversight of river diversion channels, culverts, reservoirs, and erosion-sediment control facilities. Management for the development of regional hydrogeological models to determine potential environment impact of mining development and water supply. Development and management of water exploration drilling plans.
4) Environmental:
a) Elaboration of environment baseline studies and monitoring programs for major mining facilities. Design and construction oversight of environmental remediation of major metal smelters and mining facilities., assessment
5) Construction:
a) Project engineering, construction management, and quality control/assurance in the heavy civil construction industry. Including the construction of urban freeways, large dams, and flood control and river channels. Includes design of temporary construction shoring (concrete false work and retaining walls), freeway and highway detour traffic control plans, CPM schedule preparation and tracking, CO impact analysis, preparation and tracking of cost control ledgers. Material quality control/assurance management. Familiar with ADOT, FAA, and COE contract standard specifications. Preparation and coordination of multimillion hard bids for freeways, dams, pipelines, river channels, landfills, and waste water plants.

Management of multi-discipline teams to produce engineering and science studies including final construction documents (plans, specifications, and cost estimates). Projects included dam design, water and leach solution pipelines, pump stations, watershed system water balance studies, storm and runoff analysis, and flood control facilities design.
